Accurate Results for Patient Care Workshop 2019
JCTLM Members’ and Stakeholders’ Meeting
2-3 December 2019, BIPM, Sèvres, France
Milena Quaglia gave an update on the NeuroMET project. The programme is available on the BIPM website.
NeuroMET Stakeholder Workshop
A NeuroMET stakeholder workshop on the identification, stratification and sampling of NDD patient cohorts, clinical routine and novel clinical assessment protocols.
This event was originally scheduled to be held in Berlin in summer 2020, but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Any further updates will be published on this page.
MR Spectroscopy Workshop
NeuroMET2 partners PTB and University of Greifswald hotsted a workshop on MR Spectroscopy (MRS). The event was held virtually on 27 May 2021. For more information, please click here.
NeuroMET2 at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference
The NeuroMET project was represented with 3 posters at the recent Alzheimer's Association International Conference 2021 (AAIC 2021). Abstracts are available to view online using the following links
- The NeuroMET project: Metrology and innovation for early diagnosis and accurate stratification of patients with neurodegenerative diseases.
- Mass spectrometry approaches for the selection of primary calibrators in the development of reference method.
- More than a memory test: A new metric linking blocks, numbers and words
NeuroMET2 at the Mathematical and Statistical Methods for Metrology Conference
The NeuroMET2 consortium was represented at the Mathematical and Statistical Methods for Metrology Conference (MSMM 2021).
Leslie Pendrill (RISE) gave a presentation entitled Entropy-based explanations of multidimensionality in ordinal responses. The abstract is available here.
NeuroMET2 at the 20th International Metrology Congress
The NeuroMET2 consortium was represented at the 20th International Metrology Congress (CIM 2021).
Project partners RISE and Modus Outomes presented a poster entitled Neuropsychological assessments: word learning list tests and diagnostic potential of serial position effects.
The abstract is available here.
IMEKO 2021
The NeuroMET2 project was represented at IMEKO 2021. Two papers "Construct Specification Equations: ‘Recipes’ for Certified Materials in Cognitive measurement", and "Metrological References for Person Ability in Memory Tests" were presented.
PROMS 2021
The NeuroMET project was represented at the recent Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Symposium (PROMS) 2021 with a presentation entitled 'Neurogenerative disease metrology and innovation: The European Metrology Programme for Innovation & Research (EMPIR) and the NeuroMET projects'
Patient Recruitment Update, December 2021
The fully characterised NeuroMET patient cohort and data associated to it are an invaluable European and international resource to carry out longitudinal studies and validate methods and biomarkers.
Since 2016, over 100 patients across Alzheimer's Disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Subjective Cognitive Decline, and Healthy Controls have been recruited to the cohort which is maintained by Charité in Berlin. Longitudinal assessments are now into their fourth yearly iteration.
The chart below shows the cumulative baseline and follow up assessments across the study to date. Despite the challenges to recruitment and follow-up presented by COVID-19, the cohort continues to grow, further augmenting this important NDD research resource.
Project Newsletters 2021/22
We are pleased to announce that the winter 2021 and spring 22 editions of the NeuroMET2 newsletter are now available.
Newsletters dedicated to Work Packages 3 (Biomarkers), 4 (Multimodal cognitive biomarker correlation studies), and 2 (MRS & MRI) are now available to download.
ENBIS 2021, 13-15 September 2021
The NeuroMET project was represented at the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics 2021 (ENBIS-2021) online conference. Leslie Pendrill and Jeanette Melin (RI.SE) gave a paper entitled "Two questions of "class": Kind of quantity and Classification".
